Publication alert: Novel CACO2-based model to test bacterial-mucosal interaction.

2025 started off great: Proud to present our CACO2-based intestinal mucosa culture model , which allows testing of the mucosal barrier and bacteria-mucosal interaction. This collaborative effort was initiated as part of the CUCO Structures-Of-Strength consortium, EWUU alliance. Big congrats to first authors Evelien Floor (Team Vercoulen) and Jinyi Su (Team Strijbis) and the marvellous team from UMC Utrecht – Center for Molecular Medicine , UU Faculties of Veterinary and Beta Sciences (Team Mihaila).
